What Causes Discomfort In The Scrotum And Inner Thighs?

Hi Doc, For the past 5-6 days, I am experiencing a prickly sensation on my scrotum and inner thighs, along with a bit of contraction of skin of the scrotum. Had shaved around the area arpund 10 days back. Also had been to a spa couple of times: had intimate touch (handjob) but no other sexual contact. Please advise. Many thanks.

Hello,

As per your case history, you are suffering from Intertrigo groin.

My treatment advice is:

1. Maintain good hygiene and bath twice daily.
2. Apply an antifungal cream like Clotrimazole cream twice daily on it.
3. Take an antihistamine medication like Levocetirizine twice daily for 7 to 10 days.
4. Other treatment options are oral Fluconazole, Itraconazole and Terbinafine taken only after consulting a dermatologist.
