What Causes Discomfort In The Tongue After Eating Spicy Food?

Please i need my question to be answered by a great specialist. I need to make toungue be absolutely fine now. I eat spicy acidic food and use toungue cleaner because of that i have raw toungue now. I know i need to stop acidic food. But what medicine or ointment to apply or what remedies to do to get my toungue get normal ?!

avoid spicy food.
use proton pump inhibitors for two weeks before meal and apply bonjela over affected area.
And also keep watch is there any specific food of which you are allergic if.
