Noted the history and understood the concerns.
Noted the history about your father undergone the surgery for obstructed
bowel surgery and then getting confused, loss of control over movements which is getting worsened.
The commonest cause if
electrolyte imbalance particularly low sodium that causes confusion and irrelevant talks and so on.
Another cause can be due to some abnormality in brain.
I would advise you the following in such a situation:
Get the blood tested for electrolytes,
thyroid, liver and kidney functions and whatever is found will be corrected by the Doctors treating him.
MRI of the brain to see for any abnormality and an opinion of a
Neurologist.
Take him home with the proper instructions.
May need a Contrast enhanced
CT scan of the abdomen particularly to see for the intestines and the success of any surgery and get corrected if still has any abnormality.
