I have had astigmatism for 53 years. I m also near and far sighted. I have cataracts, very blurred vision. My question is what is causing distorted peripheral vision? I often think what was that? What just flashed beside me? This usually happens with my right eye, but sometimes the left peripheral does the same thing.
astigmatism is to be corrected by specs. refraction can be repeated. field tracing may be done. iot be measured. fundus may be examined to exclude peripheral retinal disorder like holes tear and peripheral retinal disorder. consult retina surgeon.
