What Causes Diverticulitis?
I was diagnosed with diverticulitis (ER trip) yesterday early morning. I am on 7 days of cipro 500 mg. twice a day and flagyl 500mg. twice a day. Is it ok to take metamucil with these medications? Today is the 3rd day without BM. Yesterday I had morphine at the hospital and hydrocodone-acetaminophen, (3) pills (sent home prescription). No pain meds today.

Do you still have pain or distension . have passed flatus (gas ) today , if yes then its good . you can take soft and liquid diet
