What Causes Dizziness After A Head Injury?

My dad is 75 years old and he fainted yesterday when he got up from his head and hit is forehead on the corner of a desk and got a cut on his eye brow. He insisted not going to doctor and he would just let it heal. what are some possible underlying conditions of feeling dizzy and fainting. His blood pressure is normal 123/80jp

Hi,

A fall in elderly should be taken seriously and definitely should be followed by a CT scan.

I would recommend him to do a CT scan because there is a risk of having an epidural or a sub dural hematoma after a fall.
Also you need to investigate why did he have the fall, was it associated with loss of consciousness or not ?
Please get him evaluated him by a physician.
