A fall in elderly should be taken seriously and definitely should be followed by a CT scan.
I would recommend him to do a CT scan because there is a risk of having an epidural or a sub dural hematoma after a fall. Also you need to investigate why did he have the fall, was it associated with loss of consciousness or not ? Please get him evaluated him by a physician.
Hope it helps.
Regards.
