What Causes Dizziness After Eating Food?

Hi, lately I have been feeling hungry then as soon as I start eating, I feel sick at my stomach. But this has happened before many times and stops within a week. Today I got very dizzy and light headed right after eating and I'm exhaused. What could be the cause of this?

Hi,

I have gone through your medical history and understood your concerns.

Feeling dizzy and light-headed right after eating is related to:
- drops in blood sugar levels
- increased acidity of the stomach

I advise to measure your blood sugar when you have this episode, record the result to pass to your doctor.

Eat often and small portions, do not rush, chew up slowly.

Avoid foods high in simple sugar that is consumed quickly and can lead to drops in blood sugar levels.

Avoid salty foods and increase water intake.

Measure your blood pressure when you feel light-headed, record the results to pass to your doctor.

Get checked by your doctor as soon as possible as you need to run further diagnostic tests.

Wish all the best!
