What Causes Dizziness After Undergoing Total Thyroidectomy?

Hi, I am 20 years old & I have been having problems with hyper & hypo thyroidism since I was 14. Well I had a total thyroidectomy on May 20,2014 due to my thyroids couldn t be controlled with my meds & I had nodules swollen around my wind pipe. Well I have been feeling very light headed & dizzy. I cant sleep at night & sometimes it feels like I cant focus is this normal symptoms after having a total thyroidectomy?
