Hi,I am Dr. Andrew Rynne (Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am 70 years old, I walk approx. 6 miles every morning with a 2 min break after every mile. When I stop and sit down for my mile break I sometimes get light headed or dizzy for 5 to 10 seconds. Should I be concerned. I have been taking finasteride 5mg & tamsulosin 0.4 mg for two weeks.
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Dizziness on exertion may be due to cardiac failure or hypotension or ischemia or anemia or beri beri or arrythmia or sick sinus syndrome etc.. Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is. Please consult your cardiologist he will examine and treat you accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
