What Causes Dizziness Along With Nausea?

I am 80 years old and otherwise healthy. However, recently our weather has averaged 93 degrees recently in South Carolina, and I find when I go out, I am experiencing dizziness, mild nausea and feeling faint. I am trying to research what might be going on. Suggestions?

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, the given symptoms could be due to general debility and it might be associated with dehydration, if you do not have any medical condition then it is nothing to worry but try to correct the dehydration, even after this if the symptoms persist then, certain conditions are there that should be ruled out like hypoglycemia, may be cerebral artery insufficiency, hypotension.
Try to have some rest, drink more liquid, have some healthy diet and it will be okay if not then it should not be taken as granted for but to consult the doctor.
hope this information helps.

General & Family Physician Dr. Ashakiran S's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
Symptoms of dizziness in an elderly person along with feeling of nausea could be due to iron deficiency.
Kindly get your blood tested for complete hemogram.
If it indicates iron deficiency, you need to supplement iron in the form of diet and medication regularly to overcome the same.
Hope the information provided helps.
All the best.
Regards,
Dr.Ashakiran.S.
