What Causes Dizziness And Blurred Vision After Getting Up?

I am 14 and I would be laying down for maybe like 30 minutes and get up and start walking, and about 15 seconds after walking I get dizzy and light headed and my eyes blur to where I see blue and after 3 seconds my vision comes back, is this a sign of anything??

Hello,

Your symptoms seem to be related to to orthostatic hypotension or postural hypotension. It is a form of low blood pressure that happens when you stand up from sitting or lying down. Orthostatic hypotension can make you feel dizzy or lightheaded for a few minutes. You should not be worried.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
