Hi
Welcome to HCM.

Dizziness and blurred are due to sudden fall in BP.

Indeed Lisinopril is found to be effective in the management of proteinuria especially in patients with diabetes.
Since your treating doctor has asked to stop Lisinopril because of the side effects, the other group of drugs which are found to be effective in the treatment and prevention of proteinuria are ARBs like Valsartan, etc.

Hope this answers your query.
