Hello!

Welcome on HCM!

Regarding your concern, I would explain that your symptoms could be related to different causes:

- an inner ear disorder
- a brain lesion (infection, tumor, demyelinating disorder, etc.)
- cervical spine chronic degenerations
- vertebro-basilar insufficiency.

Coming to this point, I would recommend consulting with your GP for a physical exam and performing some tests:

- a cervical spine X ray study
- complete blood count, PCR, sedimentation rate for inflammation
- thyroid hormone levels for possible dysfunction
- a Doppler of the cervical vessels for possible vessel narrowing
- a brain CT scan

Consulting with an ENT specialist for a physical exam and labyrinthine tests would help exclude an inner ear disorder, before performing a brain CT scan.

Meanwhile, I recommend starting Meclizine or Dimenhydrinate.

Hope to have been helpful!

Kind regards, Dr. Aida
