What Causes Dizziness And Fatigue After Running For Quite Distance?

Hello. My friend is male, 22years, 160cm, 60kg. 4 days ago while he was running for something which he was late. upon arrival at the destination after 5 min he just fell down due to dizziness and fatigue and hit on the back of his skull. when asked he told that he haven t eaten all day and was very tired. We took him to a nearby hospital and he was given glucose i.v. He also had a vomiting in the hospital so he was told to have a C.T. of his head but everything was normal in it. From the next day till now he is feeling pain in his left neck, left shoulder and left arm and also in the left clavicle. What are your suggestions? Do you want us to take him to hospital and have C.T. for one more time? What could cause the pain?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi, Thanks for asking HCM.
Lack of oxygen and lack of sugar level might have been the cause of dizziness and fatigue.
During running because of fast breathing what ever oxygen is going in the body, will when ever be less than the required quantity, that will cause dizziness and may be unconsciousness.
When body is working hard without sufficient oxygen and sugar will cause fatigue apart from not to be trained for the same.
What ever pain your friend is feeling may be because of the impact of fall if all reports are normal, though he must go through detail investigation.
Till then let him rest and take medication as prescribed by consulting physician\ surgeon.
Good day.
