Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I was in the hospital in May. Not serious but, my doctor asked me if i had been checked for diabetes. My stomach is swollen ( or fat) i have a problem with soreness in my mouth. I have gained weight in the last year and have never had a fat belly...now i do. I exercise alot and am basically healthy. I do have a bit of dizziness standing up or raising my head too fast and my vision is decent. This is bothering me tho and i do not go to the doctor regularly nor do i take medication of any type. ???
Hi, From your scenario following possibilities are there. 1) Diabetes As you mentioned significant weight gain with fatty belly in recent year. If there is Diabetes in your family, possibility increases. Symptoms of dizziness and imbalance, decreased vision may be possible in Diabetes.
2) Benign paroxysmal postural vertigo (BPPV) As symptoms of dizziness and imbalance aggravated by head movements.
3)Simple refractory error may cause decreased vision and imbalance.
4) Disease related to blood supply of brain, though unlikely.
So you should consult a physician and accordingly planning of investigation needed.
