What Causes Dizziness And Nausea While On Losartan, Hydrochlorothiazide And Pravastatin?

I normally have a blood pressure of 145/83 due to hypertension and heart disease. I am 63 years old, obese, and been taking medications of Losartan, hydrochlorothiazide, and pravastatin. Today, I have been dizzy, lightheaded, nauseated, and now my diastolic pressure has dropped down to 70-75 with the systolic remaining about the same. What do you think is going on?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

As per my clinical experience, the dizziness and nausea indicate fluid electrolyte imbalance with gastric irritation. I recommend addition of PPI with current medicine list and dose alterations in current medications.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
