What Causes Dizziness And Plugged Sensation In The Ears?

I feel dizzy whenever I walk.I feel as if I am in a dreamy state.ISome times I get sensation of plugged ear.Something like glue collects at the back of my throat and I have to keep swallowing it. I need diagnosis and advice regarding treatment. Thanks & regards. R.K.SINGH

Hi, thank you for posting your query on health care magic.

I can understand your concern.

Looking at your symptoms, you might be suffering from Secretory Otitis media(Inflammation in middle ear with fluid collection).It might be due to Nasal inflammation leading to Eustachian tube blockage(It is a tube which connects Ear with middle ear and is responsible for equalization of ear pressure with outside atmospheric pressure.In case of blockage of this tube,it may lead to negative middle ear pressure with fluid collection).Nasal secretions may backward resultit in posterior nasal drip due to which you are suffering from feeling of glue collection at the back of your throat.Secretory Otitis media may lead to dizziness.

You may get relief by taking Oral Decongestant (like Phenylephrine) and Nasal Decongestant drops (like Xylometazoline) if you are not suffering from high blood pressure,Mucolytic like Ambroxol,Oral Antihistaminic like Cetrizine and tablet betahistine(when you feel dizziness)

Also do steam inhalation.Drink more warm fluids.Avoid cold food and dust.

It would be advisable to consult an Otolaryngologist doctor,if your symptoms are not improving.
