This doesn t happen all of the time but on and off it has happened. I will be in the shower and all of sudden, I feel dizzy, faint and my hands start to shake. Is there anything specific that can cause this? I tend to have an issue with anemia and I am hypothyroid. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
During the shower, because of the hot water your skin and subcutaneous vessels become dilated and less blood goes to the internal organs, including the brain and heart, wich can cause hypotension and fainting. This is increased when you have anemia, as the "quality" of your blood is decreased, it can't supply all of the needs these organs have. I would suggest for you to use lesa warm water and if it's possible to sit not stand suring the shower , to avoid standing in the sun or in warmer places. Also, which is more important, you have to find the causes of your anemia and treat it.
