What Causes Dizziness Every Afternoon, Diarrhoea And Constant Thirst?
Hello, I have been getting dizzy every afternoon around 2:00, and i feel like the room is moving at times. I have been having diarrhea for a few days, and been drinking a lot of Pedialite to prevent dehydration. However, I feel constantly thirsty. At night, the dizziness mostly goes away.
Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted the history getting dizziness every afternoon around 2:00 and feel that the room is moving, have diarrhea for a few days, drinking a lot of Pedialite for preventing dehydration, feel constant thirsty, the dizziness most goes away at night. Pedialite is made for the pediatric patients and hence the composition is not for the adults, you should take the one meant for the adults as this may not be sufficient for your needs and in fact can cause more problems. Secondly send the stool sample for tests, if positive for infection you need a proper antibiotic cover and metronidazole along with probiotics. The dizziness can be due electrolyte imbalance or dehydration causing changes in the semi-circular canals fluid levels which starts in the afternoon but settling as the day passes by. Hence get a proper management and you will be fine.
