What Causes Dizziness, headache And Vomiting After Putting Mirena?
I had the mirena put in 5 days ago And was supposed to start my period a week ago. I was not tested for pregnancy. I just had a baby June 21st but have been pretty safe using protection. I am very sick and vomiting have headaches , dizzy , shaky and fatigued . Smells are bothering me.... Is this normal?
I can understand your concern. Little pain, irregular bleeding, dizziness etc are very common after insertion of Mirena. They will present from a few weeks to few months and the body will get adapted to Mirena and you won't feel any discomfort with its presence.
However, if presence of smell refers to smell of vaginal discharge and if you have fever, it may indicate presence of bacterial infection in relation to Mirena and you may have to get it examined by your gynecologist. A course of antibiotics will be required if infection will be diagnosed. Additionally, you can take a painkiller that suits you for the pain symptoms you are experiencing right now.
