Hi,I am Dr. Alexander H. Sheppe (Psychiatrist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have always had dizzy spells to the point they stop me in my tracks but never cause me to pass out. They are frequent throughout the day. I had a physical a month ago and im in as they would say mint condition except my Cholestreol. I am on depression medicine(Pristiq) been on it for 3 months. I eat reguarly! Any Ideas?
Pristiq contains quetiapine and it causes postural hypotension. In your case, dizziness could be due to quetiapine. Better to stop it after your doctor consultation. For depression, you can try other drugs like antidepressant. In antidepressant you can try paroxetine or escitalopram etc. These drugs do not have such side effects. In case, you need further help, you can ask.
Thanks
