Hello, my question is my 19 year old son has told me a couple of times that he has had dizzy spells. I asked him if he was doing anything when it happened & he said no he was just sitting. Any idea why he has been getting these? He is a healthy normal young man & takes no medications.
At his age, an inner ear disorder would be the most common cause underlying dizziness. Low blood pressure and thyroid gland dysfunction are other causes that may lead to dizziness. For this reason, I recommend you to closely monitor his blood pressure values and check thyroid hormone levels. If dizziness persists, consulting with an ENT specialist will be necessary.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
