What Causes Dots And Circles On Finger Nails?

I noticed I have about 6 very tiny dots on one of my fingernails. They are very faint but it is not one spot it is several small ones all together. Then on my other hand one finger has two small white circles. I mean it looks like if you draw two very small circles..still pink in the middle what is this?
