My husband is 65 and had cateract surgery few years ago. Few days ago started having double vision which stopped when one eye was closed. Also had headache and BP went up. Went to optho who is rushing to it being brain tumor or stroke. Now vision getting better now that he started wearing glare glasses he forgot he had. BP back to normal. Wondering if he needs to consult PCP first re BP meds before going for MRI and C-scan as recommended by eye Dr?? K

General & Family Physician, Dr. B M Gupta's Response
Hi Your husband complaints are double vision, headache and high BP. I advise you to go for investigation like MRI. You can consult PCP to maintain your husband BP less than 150/90 according to age. Thanks.
