MY sister went to bed about three weeks ago, and when she woke up she was seeing double and is still seeing double presently!!! What could be causing this? She hasn t hit her head or anything like that. She is 62 years old and in good health condition.
itcan be anisometropia and ocular muscle paralysis. can be amblyopia of one eye. visual acuity of each eye to be tested separatly. muscle functioning be tested. cover test to detect phoria. developing squint can give rise to diplopia.considering her age exclude hypertention and diabetis refraction for each eye to be done. and if error detected then it should be corrected.at this age for squint only cosmetic surgery can be done.if there is difference of acuity is more then 2 then one eye is to be blocked to get rid of diplopia
