When my husband and I have sex, when I clean up and wipe I get a tiny (probably less than half a drop) of blood on the tissue and a little bit of pain. I am a worrier so my mind jumps to cancer and I am just worried. Has happened for about a month now, but the amount of blood is so marginal...

Thanks for writing in.

Post coital bleeding can be due to many reasons. The commonest is due to injury following violent intercourse and cervicitis which is infection of the cervix. You need to consult your doctor who can do a quick pelvic exam and give you a diagnosis. If necessary a pap smear may also be done to know more about the type of cells in your cervix region. It is also suggested that you use a lot of lubrication during sex to avoid any friction and injury which can cause little bleeding as mentioned.
