What Causes Dry Cough After Using Clinidipine?

hello doctor, one of my relative is using olmestartan 40mg for a while, the her consultant changed to clinidipine 10mg , she is using that for some months, at present she is complaining of severe dry cough at night, along with that she is taking Homin, Tovok, Glycomet GP

These medications ( clonidine, tovok, homin and glycomet) are not normally associated with a dry cough so there is likely another cause.

The most common causes of persistent cough would be: (1)asthma

(2) post nasal drip
(3)GERD (gastroesophageal reflux disease)

Post nasal drip is the most common . It treated by using topical steroid nasal sprays and oral anti histamine.
There are normally triggers that cause the drip, if they are known then they should be avoided.
