for a couple years I have had a dry patch of skin (red) below my right knee that does not itch. I have tried cortisone creams, bacitracin, and plain cream. Nothing helps. I have noticed that I now am starting a dry patch on my abdomen. I have pre-diabetis (reactive hypoglycemia). Is this something I should be concerned about?
Hi. As per your case history of dry skin. My treatment advice is - 1. Don't scratch the lesion as it may worsen the condition. 2. Apply an emollient cream like Enmoist cream twice daily on it. 3. Take a vitamin A supplement once daily for 3 months.
