What Causes Dry Skin While Taking Medicine For Diabetes?
hi , I m a 60 year old African-American with type 2 diabetes, I do take insulin and two oral meds for this. lately I ve notice that my skin has become extremely dry all over and my hair has thin in the top front of my head and this is associated with itching around my hair line. I do not use any chemicals in my hair .
Dear user, diabetes is commonly associated with thyroid disorder so dry skin can be due to thyroid disorder as well. kindly check your thyroid levels and let me know. thinning of hair can be explained as well with thyroid disorder. but as to itching , kindly see if there is some infection, or allergy. there should not be some infestation or dandruff. regards!
