What Causes Dryness At The Corner Of The Lips When Shaved?
My corner in the lips get dry and chapped after shaving. I am using petroleum Jelly to heal it but after couple of days I see the same symptoms. I also have developed a reddish surface just below the left corner of lower lip. It pains while opening mouth wide or laughing. I am thinking of visiting dermatologist. Please help.
It seems that you may be having angular chelitis. There may be some cause like nutritional deficieincy, anaemia, vitamin deficiencies like riboflavin, B12,folic acid etc.. Candidal infection may cause angular chelitis.Poor immunity and deprived hygiene mmight precipitate the disease. Cosmetics may be responsible. Avoid sun exposure, have good nutrition and improve hygiene. Consult dermatologist for firm diagnisis and perfect treatment. A tifungal like ketoconazole, antihistaminics, vitamin B comlex..etc may be taken. Apply mild steroid with antifungal cream. You may feel better after few weeks. I hope you got my answer.
Thanks.
