What Causes Dryness In Eyes And Slit At The Corner Of The Eye After A Cataract Surgery?
I have had cataract surgery and restore lens which are great. I have dry eyes and lately seem to have a slit in the outer corner of my right eye. At times the eye gets red but not all of the time. I use restasis and tears. What can be my problem?
Hello It seems from the history that you are having dryness of eyes following cataract surgery. This is because of dry eyes caused by surgery. Though dry eyes is rare but is seen following cataract surgery and treatment is by use of artificial tears eye drops. The slit at the corners of the eyes is also because of dry eyes. The treatment you are on in the form if restadis and artificial tears is correct and I advice you to continue the same.
Thank you
