What Causes Dryness, Itching And Soreness In The Pelvic Area?

Hi, I'm a woman who recently suffered a very stubborn UTI. Symptoms were clear for 4 days, and I didn't show any signs of a kidney infection. My male partner and I had sex, and now I am experiencing a lot of dryness, itching/burning, and soreness in my pelvic area. Any ideas?

Hi,

It can be due to fungal infection like thrush also known as yeast.

You can go for a vaginal swab for confirming the diagnosis.

As a first line management you can take antihistamines like Pheniramine for symptomatic relief. Use Clotrimazole vaginal lotion to cleanse your genitals.

If symptoms persist, better to consult a gynecologist and get evaluated.
