What Causes Dryness On The Penis?

I am a 49 year old male and I do have normal sex. However, I notice if I do not j/o or have any sex for a few days and I do shower every other day, that sometimes, I hvae a thin layer of white stuff, almost looks like my penis is dry and it comes right off with little if any smell. What would this be?
