What Causes Dull Pain Above Left Side Pelvic Bone?

Hi Im 25 years old. The last few days I have had dull pains on my left side above pelvic bone and sometimes i can feel it in the groin and back area. I thought at first i had a UTI. But I have never had one where i was bloated and this pain all of the left side... I have urinated like every 5 min and it never seems to be enough. although it dosent really burn when i use the bathroom when i finish i do get a lil sting sometimes. could this be a kidney infection?

Hi ! Good morning. I am Dr Shareef answering your query. With your kind of history, if I were your doctor, after a general and local physical examination with special attention to the inguinal region and both testis, I would advise you for a routine/microscopic/culture sensitivity test of your urine and an ultrasound of the abdomen. All these would lead me to either confirm or rule out a urinary tract infection,and/or an epididymo-orchitis or a developing inguinal hernia on the left side. Till the reports are available, I would advise you with an anti inflammatory drug along with a proton pump inhibitor. Further management would depend on the reports of investigations and physical examination.
