Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What is the cause and remedy for getting rid of fresh blood in stool due to decentry. It presently happens occasionally about once in 2months at present. Earlier history of piles and stool test revealed intrinsic and fresh blood about 3 months back. Earlier food habits of oily and spicy food. But for last 3 months spicy food and fried food is almost controlled please.
The fresh blood in stool is related to hemorrhoids taking into account your history of hemorrhoids. Dysentery or diarrhea you suffer could be due to foods you consume or possible IBS. However, I advise to run colonoscopy and anoscopy to evaluate the changes there.
It is good that you started to change your diet and lifestyle habits. Should include more fiber foods in your daily menu. Fiber supplement (e.g. psyllium) and gentle laxatives can help. Should increase water intake.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Albana Sejdini, General & Family Physician
