What Causes Dysphagia With Loss Of Appetite?
my dad is 87 and in Mar had a pacemaker placed one week later he had his gallbladder removed. this all due to the fact that he was throwing up constantly. He has gone from 170 to 130 since then. Unable to swallow. no appetite. What could be going wrong and how do we help.

Inability to swallow is termed dysphagia.This needs to be evaluated through an upper gastrointestinal tract endoscopy to rule out any obstructive lesions.Dysphagia can lead to reduced appetite.Pacemaker implantation and gall bladder removal are not related directly to dysphagia.Heart rate fluctuations can be assessed through baseline ecg and 24 holter ecg to detect any pacemaker malfunction.Consult your cardiologist for further queries.
