What Causes Ear Discharge With Lobe Swelling And Redness?
We are on a vacation by the beach...swimming everyday in the ocean and in the pool. He has had some drainage over the last few days from his right ear. It is yellow/orange, does not appear to have pus. The lobe is reddish, swollen and crusty. He says he has no ear ache and is not febrile. Does he have an outer ear/ lobe infection?
Yes you are correct , he is most likely having an outer ear infection. please ask him to keep the ear dry and avoid swimming , you can also apply mupirocin ointment 2-3 times a day. please meet your doctor if there is pain , fever or the swelling increases.
Thanks
