My 5 year old daughter complained of ear pain last night. it seemed pretty bad , she cried for about 15 mins and then I gave her ibrufen which put her to sleep. She hasn t complained of ear pain today. She goes for swimming 3 times a week. COuld it be swimmer s ear. SHould I see a doctor?
It is due to eustachian tube block which can happen on cold exposure as in swimming. You need to consult only if the pain recur or if there is associated fever, nasal discharge or ear discharge
