What Causes Ear Pain And Hearing Loss After Hearing Loud Screamings?

My 5 nieces & nephews just decided to scream as loud as humanly possible in my ear as a joke (of course without me knowing that they were going to do it). I now have excruitiating pain in my right ear & cannot hear out of it. Is it possible they damaged it?
