What Causes Ear Pain That Increases After Drinking Something Cold?

I have had this pain in my left ear for over a year now. It spikes whenever I drink something cold. I have gone to my physician about it and she couldn't find anything. I have also gone to my dentist and she found nothing. What could it be? It really hurts?
