What Causes Ear Pain?

I have been sick since saturday morning (chills, fever, aches, sore throat, pounding headache). I woke up this morning with a fever of 103.5 so I went to the doctor. He prescribed me with amoxicillin to treat strep throat. I noticed a new symptom however, as the day progressed. I now have dull shooting pains in my right ear (my throat is swollen only on my right side as well). Not sure if this is serious, I saw online that ear pain is a sign of complications. Thanks.

Hello,

I think you may developed middle ear infection also. So use tablet Lecope-AD for five days. Use water vapor inhalation thrice a day for five days. Avoid cool drinks and ice creams. If symptoms not improved please consult with your ENT specialist he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
