What Causes Easy Bruising Of Arms And Thighs While On Lisinopril And Gabapentin?

Hello, I have noticed lately that I bruise on my thighs and upper arms extremely easily some times I don t even know how they got there. I m 34 yr male drink alcohol daily and use chewing tobacco. I am on 10 mg lisinipril and 600 mg gabapentin. no know medical conditions

Hi.
As per your case history of purpuric rashes my advice is -
1. Gabapentin and lisinopril are less likely to cause easy brusing.
2. Tobacco and alcohol can cause the capillary walls thinning. So better stop them gradually.
3. Investigations like bleeding time, clotting time and prothrombin time can be done to rule out other causes of purpura.
4. For treatment take vitamin c tablet daily once for atleast 45 days.
