What Causes Eating Disorder In A Teenager?

Teenage eating disorder
My daughters 14yo friend has a eating disorder in which she barely eats anything at all. Her family does not support her and just thinks she deciding to not eat. She has been to the doctor.. And was offered coucilling but her parents would not allow it.. Are there any other options for her

Option is whoever in the family close to her and concerned for her, he/she should go to psychiatrist.She is suffering from anorexia nervosa and /or depression I guess. That person should discuss with doctor about history of patient and get advice. And then that helping person can explain detail to the patient about her situation and what she should do to come out of that. If she convince she herself should go to psychiatrist. IF above thing can not work, someone can forcefully take her for the treatment depending upon laws prevalent in your country to save her life from starvation.
