What Causes Electric Current Sensation In Head ?
Hi, I presently take one half of a Avapro capsule for high blood pressure and 37.5mg of Effexor. I have tingling sensations in my tongue and electric like current in my head, not shocks but like wave of electric currents, it comes and goes, what could be causing this?

Your symptoms could be related to increased potassium levels. Trigeminal neuralgia can not be excluded either.
Are these symptoms triggered by mouth opening or eating?
Anyway, I recommend consulting with your attending physician for a physical exam and some tests (potassium plasma levels, complete blood count, PCR, ESR for inflammation).
If the above tests result normal, the next step would be performing a brain MRI study.
