What Causes Elevated High Blood Pressure Levels Post Recovery From Leg Amputation?
I am a52 year old male with a history of NO heart issues, but I have endured a Synovial Sarcoma, which did result in the amputation of my right leg, above the knee. In the past 3 months I have experienced uncharacteristicly high blood pressure. What other symptoms should I be on the lookout for?
Sorry to know about your loss. High BP in your case may be caused by anxiety, emotional trauma, lack of good sleep or excessive smoking. Sarcoma usually does not cause high BP. Check whether you have 1. Kidney disease-do urea/creatinine, renal ultrasound 2. Diabetes- Fasting blood sugar 3. Thyroid disorder- FT4/TSH 4. Dyslipidemia- Fasting lipid profile 5. Heart problem- ECG and 2D Echocardiography
are you satisfied? Hope you are...Thanks
