What Causes Elevated Lipase Levels?

My doctor says I had a slightly higher Lipase level after doing a blood test because I had cramps and pain in my back? The pains and discomfort have gone. A Sonogram showed my gall bladder, liver etc as clear. what does this mean and what should i do next.

Hi,

Nothing to worry if you do NOT have any symptoms now. Currently, if you still have the pain, you have a amylase blood test and a CT scan to rule out a pancreatic lesion.

Hope to answer your concern. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Wish you good health.

Regards,
Dr. Tayyab Malik
