What Causes Elevated Thyroid Hormone Levels Despite Taking Medication?

My thyroid count went from 2.7 to 5.2 in 6 months. I am on a thyroid supplement from a holistic physician. I know diet plays a major role in issues with the thyroid. Synthroid is something I have researched and have fought off the chances of having to go on it. On the supplement, I have gotten the count down to 2.7. Now, the numbers are going up. What would you suggest? Thank-you!!

You need to get done the complete profile of thyroid gland that includes TSH T3 T4 and free T3 T4 including thyroid scan. You have not mentioned what type of value it is given here. Are you suffering from thyroid dysfunction related disease, like hypothyroidism or hyperthyroidism, what the present clinical symptoms you have ? you have not mentioned your age and gender, with very little and incomplete clinical information nothing more can be advised.
