What Causes Elevation In BUN And Blood Sugar Levels?
My husband just recieved some blood tests with abnormal levels. His MCV, RWD and MPV are high however his MCHC is low. He is on testosterone therapy for low testosterone. He also take remicade infusions for colitis. His has frontal lobe dementia. His BuN and sugar levels are also high. the BuN is 33 sugar is 118. The sugar has run a bit high for some time now
Hi, Thanks for asking. Based on your query, my opinion is as follows. 1. If his haemoglobin is within normal range, not to worry about MCV or MCHC. 2. However, if MCV is high, it indicates possible Vit B12 and Folic acid deficiency. Supplement it with your diet. 3. Diabetes control is essential to prevent long term damage to various organs. Take regular medication along with moderate exercises to improve sugar levels. Hope it helps. Any further queries, happy to help again.
