Hi,I am a female in my late 40 s. I recently have been running a temp above normal, 99.2-100.2.Today I checked my temp and it is 96.9 & 97. I ve had neck pain and a headache on and off for a couple of days.I do get migraines. Sometimes I get hot flashes. Can these be pre- menapause?

OBGYN 's  Response
Hi,
I have gone through your query and understood the concern. During menopause, owing to the wide hormone fluctuations, several symptoms occur. Hot flushes, mood swings, depression, dryness of the vagina and irregular cycles are the common ones. There is usually no temperature fluctuation. Since you have one associated with neck pain and headache, please get tested for any infection and take appropriate treatment. Hormone studies, trans-vaginal sonogram and periodic assessment, help to diagnose peri-menopause and menopause. Hope this helps.
