Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My healthy (I thought) 25 year old son just suddenly died. It appears he had an enlarged heart and something with one of the blood supplying arteries? but also that part of his heart was discolored. I am desperate to know why they did not open his chest to try and get his heart beating?

General & Family Physician, Dr. Varinder's Response
Hi
Welcome to HealthcareMagic
Sir the cause of sudden death with defect in blood supplying arteries and discoloration means that your child died due to heart attack.
Discoloration is seen in heart with infected area. It is not feasible to open chest and made it to beat. Only chest compression or intravenous drugs are sufficient in some lucky survivors. If you have any further query then you can come back to HealthcareMagic.
I will definitely help you and guide you appropriately .
With Regards
Dr Varinder Joshi
